Thrive Africa - The Organisation And Mission

I've decided to go an volunteer in Ghana, Africa with a charity called "Thrive Africa" for a month in August.

A mission trip is something that has always called to me, and I figure that now is as good a time as ever!

here's a little bit of information about the organisation and what they do:

Volunteering with Thrive Africa you’ll have the opportunity to work on several development projects and experience everything Ghana has to offer. Working 5 days a week you’ll gain an understanding of what the project is, why it exists and the outcomes it hopes to deliver.

With plenty of tourist opportunities in Ghana we want to make sure you get the chance to see everything you can. We help organise excursions and join you on them, time off is given on evenings and weekends.

Thrive Africa staff accompany you and your group from when you arrive at the airport until we drop you back off to ensure you are safe and have the best possible experience.

Thrive Africa provides opportunities to volunteer in Ghana on sustainable development projects and gain experience in the development sector. Our projects are developed with local stakeholders and implemented by our team, volunteers and stakeholders.

Registered Ghanaian charity: D.S.W/5822.

Our vision is to work with local stakeholders developing projects that bring positive sustainable outcomes, using the efforts of volunteers to deliver and achieve this vision.

Thrive Africa started life in 2009 as a UK (1138902) & Ghana (D.S.W/5822) registered charity, in 2013 we were able to empower the charity in Ghana to take full control of operations and place them in control of the charities future.
