Five Tips To Loving Yourself More

  1. Know that you are worthy. Life doesn’t have to be picture perfect to be worthwhile. It can be messy, disorganised and chaotic, and yet you are STILL worthy of feeling and knowing true self love. You are worthy of all things good that you receive (regardless of whether or not you see it). Understanding this is the first step in moving in the right direction towards self love and holistic happiness.

 

  1. Get to know yourself. All of yourself. All the good, all the things you can work on, and everything in between. Get to know our body - What makes it feel good? What gives you energy? What makes you feel alive?
    Get to know your mind - What brings you happiness and contentment? What stimulates your brain and challenges you? What makes your mind smile?
    Get to know your soul - What fills you with joy? What makes your heart sing? What makes you overflow with gratitude and excitement?

 

  1. Take some time to care for yourself. Pamper your body, mind and soul. This doesn’t need to be a full day luxury spa experience somewhere expensive. It can be as simple as doing your regular morning or bedtime routine with care and mindfulness. Enjoying the scents, feeling your skin soaking up your body oil or moisturiser, and being fully present in each moment.

 

  1. Your vibe attracts your tribe. The people you surround yourself with are a direct reflection of who you become. Surround yourself with happy, positive, uplifting, caring, supporting and kind people and you will FEEL the energy shifting and creating brighter and better opportunities and interactions in your life.
    If you aren’t surrounded by these kinds of people, and looking around you notice that your friends are more negative than positive, you can try to help them shift their own perspective, OR you can remove these people from your life. You don’t have to keep toxic people in your life. This doesn’t mean being horrible to them and officially “dumping” those friends. But you can simply spend less time with these people, and spend more time with people who are like sunshine. Similarly, be the kind of person others will want to be around because you yourself are kind, happy, uplifting, supportive and caring. Your good energy will not go unnoticed.

 

  1. Expect mountains. Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it is HARD. Sometimes there are unexpected obstacles to hurdle and detours to be tolerated. Things don’t always go to plan, and sometimes it will seem like the sky has been filled with clouds for so long you can’t remember what the sun looks like. But I promise you, these things will pass.


There will be days when you wake up, and all you want to do is go back to sleep and pretend like today was cancelled. Hold in there girl. I promise you it will all be worthwhile in the long run. And although some things may seem hard and horrible and as if they have no real explanation, they do have a purpose and they are strengthening you, teaching you and helping you to grow into a better more capable and wonderful human.
